Network Marketing Leaders Rally Amid Modere Challenges: A New Chapter Begins

Modere Leaders

This weekend was a crazy one in the network marketing scene, and I’m pumped to share what’s been happening. As things calm down, it’s cool to see some inspiring leadership and teamwork among some of the big names in the industry, especially those connected to Modere and its interesting history from the Neways days.

This weekend, leaders from Modere got together, crossing boundaries to unite for a common goal. Their main focus was to chill out the chaos, keep communication clear with their teams, and make sure nobody gets swept up in the madness. These folks aren’t just leaders; they’re network marketing pros who have built their careers speaking on stages, writing books, and coaching others. I like to call them “life-giving leaders”—people who care more about connection and team growth than just making transactions.

Lisa Cox Heads to Amare

One of the biggest updates involves Lisa Cox, a respected figure in the industry. Lisa is heading to Amare, drawn by leadership she trusts and a vision she’s passionate about. It’s likely that much of her team will follow, though plans remain fluid. This move highlights the power of relationships in network marketing. When opportunities align with values, leaders like Lisa don’t hesitate to make bold moves.

A New Venture Takes Shape

Elsewhere, the Teigs, Zelikis, Milton, Margie, and Michelle Barnes are embarking on an exciting new venture. They’re partnering to launch a company backed by two industry veterans—long-time networkers with a deep love for the field. While the company name and full details are still under wraps, I can share that it will likely feature peptides and formulations similar to Modere’s offerings. A third party has stepped in with platforms to streamline the launch, collapsing timelines and setting the stage for something big. This project is still in its infancy, but the potential is undeniable.

The Modere Backstory: Equity Firms and Debt

Behind these moves lies a complex situation at Modere. Equity firms, including ZCAP and a top debt holder tied to Isagenix, have played a significant role. Months ago, ZCAP signaled it would stop injecting funds, and now meetings are underway at Isagenix to explore options—possibly integrating Modere’s products or restructuring entirely. The involvement of equity firms often brings uncertainty, as we’ve seen in cases like Herbalife’s public battles. These firms prioritize cash flow and margins, sometimes loading companies with debt to finance other ventures. When sales dip or loans tied to inventory stall, cash flow tightens, and operations can grind to a halt.

Modere has pledged to fulfill orders, pay commissions, and issue refunds, but challenges remain. Chargebacks could disrupt processors, halting refunds and creating a ripple effect. It’s a delicate balance, and the industry is watching closely.

Leadership with Integrity

What sets this moment apart is the professionalism of Modere’s leaders. A former Modere CEO, now in a new executive role, didn’t “rape and pillage” the company upon leaving—a stark contrast to others who’ve taken less ethical paths. This integrity is why I’m proud to report on these developments. Leaders are taking their time, rallying together, and finding homes for their teams with empathy and care.

For the average networker, this is critical. While top leaders often have nest eggs—built from emergency funds, real estate, or crypto investments—the rank-and-file rely on consistent product sales to sustain their businesses. Finding new homes with marketable products is essential, and these leaders are making it happen.

Looking Ahead

As we wait for more updates, the network marketing community is staying strong. Lisa Cox has found her spot at Amare, and the Teigs, Zelikis, and others are teaming up with trusted partners to build something fresh. The future might be a bit uncertain, but the real heart of this industry—the people—really shines through.
